I've been loving making new friends - hi new friends! :)

I started this blog to keep in touch with a bunch of friends, and it's evolved into my sanity keeper really. :) I'm not a big social butterfly locally, so this is the best way for me to 'talk' to all my friends and meet new people.

The only 'players' in my blog are probably me, my dogs, and my boyfriend K, whom I've been dating since May 08. Sometimes I write about my family - mom, who's my best friend (don't tell her!) and we do lots together; dad, whom I got my sense of humor and bluntness from; and younger brother, who's a graphic artist. Most of my friends aren't physically near me, they're all over the place, so I don't see them enough to write about them. Since many of them here on LJ, I write to them. :)

Today has been crazy in schnauzer rescue land! One of our angel volunteers somehow managed to organize for herself and a couple other volunteers to fly to MO and get 10 puppy mill mini schnauzer girls, and then fly them back to Baltimore. I am in awe and want to cry with happiness at what these wonderful rescue volunteers are doing for these poor mill babies. Also, young schnauzer pups will be free from a life of breeding in a puppy mill, yay.. and I'm sure everyone knows how I feel about puppy mills. Anyways! So rescue is overflowing and they really need foster homes for the next week, so even though I rent an apt and have neighbors and no yard, I offered. My neighbors were ok when my temp foster Colby was here, and he was a barker. So I may have a puppy mill foster! Maybe a shelter dog foster, I'm not sure. I miss fostering and I loved it so much when I did it, so I'm really excited. I have lots of love bubbling up for the new foster baby already. *g* The rescue guru told me it was ok if I was gone all day and the dog was kept crated cause that's all mill dogs know anyways.. which is really really sad, but also kinda "good" for fostering. Poor baby, I know I'm going to hate having to crate her while I'm at work Mon-Wed next week. Oh, heh, I hope my parents are ok with me bringing a doggy guest for Thanksgiving.

That was all kinds of awesome.

Now watch, it'll be canceled next week.

#9 wouldn't be so bad actually. Or #7 - it'd sure make traveling there much, much better.

Last Sunday, my parents and their schnauzer Adeline and my pups and I went to the Va Beach Walk for the Animals. Then the pups ran around the yard and were generally totally cute, as always. :)
